Went for a ride today

We took a ride today with Wade and Kaycie up to Sherman. Kaycie rode Robert's turbo all day and did amazing. I think I ended up stuck more than her. Wade says her bumper sticker reads "Remember, I'm a girl - try and keep up!" I think we all had a great time.

Sue gave me Robert's new Klim boots and I love them as much as he did. He loved to have nice boots, coats, gloves and pants and showed openly how good they felt. I know that I will never get those boots to places that he could have, but can't help but think maybe we took him for a ride today. - Nic

I found some pics of Robert that almost every story has talked about but I wanted to share mine too.

#1 - This picture was taken as Kaycie's last regular season cross country event. I have had this picture for a year and a half and have never noticed Robert before. (see if you can find him)
#2 - Sorry Coach Horsley, Robert was the real coach and no one was going to challenge that.
#3 - If you ever road the tube behind Robert then you completely understand.

Holly and Cody Carlson

Robert had quite the collection of songs. The girls always have a good dance routine to go along with it. This was at the Clark reunion at Bailey Creek in 2007. Thanks again Patti for all the matching shirts. I still wear mine under all my clothes. It reads - "Clark, it's more than just a name, it's an attitude!"

Thanks Wade for this picture. It sort of captures Robert how most of us knew him. One of my favorites.

Chicken Dance

We realize that this is probably the shortest clip you'll ever see (1 second long), but it captures a moment of Robert's chicken dance. If anyone has more, please let us know. So kink your head to the left and play this clip over and over. It's a true beauty.

Where's Waldo?

I got quite a few pictures of Robert finding his way into pictures. These pictures from Jessica's wedding are proof. Robert was caught picking his nose, doing the "YMCA" with grandma, sneaking cookies and sharing the love with Quincie. Thanks Jessica.

Kaycie also had this story about Robert. "This is my Daddy last year at state track. We had spent all day at the BSU stadium watching event after event during the last event my dad realized he hadn’t got his run in and you know my dad HE CANT MISS A DAY! He decided he was going to run from the BSU stadium back to the hotel. That morning it started out chilly by the afternoon it was quite warm my dad hadn’t brought any running clothes. So he dug in the back of the car and this is what he found. He keep asking everyone do I look alright , He ran like this all the way back to the hotel And almost everyone from soda that drove by would honk. We laughed so hard about this and how he looked."

Lemuel

Robert was feeling pretty good about his biking skills after a ride up Bailey Creek. If you can't tell which one he is, you didn't know him that well.

Trips with Robert, Sue and girls

Robert could be funny without even trying. He made a seat out of this flower pot and returned a few times. Who thinks to themselves "there are no chairs, so I'll just sit in this huge pot."?


Wade could fall asleep at the 50 yard-line of the Super Bowl in the 4th quarter during a tie game and when he does it's not a light sleep. He is gone. Robert painted his toenails and stuffed cereal up his nose hanging out on our trip to Pineview in Utah. We've had great vacations with them whether it was to the beach in Hilton Head, hikes up Logan Canyon or boating wherever.

Robert Pics

Robert rode as well with 2 people as most of us did by ourselves. He always had one of his daughters riding in front of him with their helmet banging on his chin. Many times he and Wade would throw a niece or nephew on with them because they wanted them to get to the top of Sherman.

We all loved watching him in action. This video is from Bloomington Lake just a few weeks ago.

Dentist Song

Robert's nephew, Matt, is in dental school at Ohio State. When he asked Robert to help him out with a song for OSU's version of American Idol, Robert whipped up this little beauty in no time. If you've ever been to the dentist, you'll agree that Robert's song is right on.

The Barefoot Skiier

Robert was very eager to try out the barefoot waterski boom during our Clark Family reunion at Pineview a few summers ago. He ended up loving it so much that he created his own boom for his boat (the second picture). That didn't work so well, but he fought on and was so proud that he was able to barefoot long-line behind the boat.

Love Song

The Robert Clark family is famous for their fun song & dance performances. Robert definitely had a gift of music and wrote and performed numerous comical songs with his cute girls. Here is an example of one they performed at the Clark family reunion in the summer of 2006.
